Your Show Day DJ Allan Mason began his music career in 1962 as a drummer in his high school rock group. That group turned into a pro-group that toured the night club scene for 20 years. He was a disc jockey at WHMC AM radio in Gaithersburg, MD working the midnight shift for 15 years. He began collecting 45's in 1966 and took full advantage of Napster, Bearshare, Limeiwre and Bit Torrents to bring his collection to more than five hundred thousand songs. From the 40's and beyond, his collection has it all. Not to mention his extensive knowledge base. He offers a night of musical nostalgia that can't be beat... Radio Television Career Allan hosted several radio shows, from top 40 to talk. He makes the perfect host and moderator. He hosted hundreds of corporate events as a guest speaker and as a reporter. His tenure at PBS won him several journalism awards, five Telle's and an Emmy. He produced more than 900 reports for PBS and four features. He also produced and directed the Hooter's Cup USA Late Model Racing Series, that aired on Prime Sports and ESPN. He Produced the Grand Canyon Challenge live on Pay-Per-View Networks. Technical Director Alexander Haig Mason was the technical director for World Business Review hosted by Alexander Haig, which ran on PBS and MSNBC. His interaction with Haig led to a deep friendship and continued until his death February 20, 2010. Mason once told Haig he likes to give the benefit of doubt to our politicians because they must make decisions where we don't have all the facts.
